Become a Local Parish Councillor

Have you ever thought about standing as a Parish Councillor?

Get involved with improving the quality of community life for your parish. You can:

• Give views on behalf of your community on consultations, planning applications and other proposals that affect the parish;
• Undertake projects and schemes that benefit local residents;
• Work in partnership with other bodies to achieve benefits for the parish or alert them to problems or work that needs to be undertaken;

It is a varied, interesting and fulfilling role. You will receive training and work alongside an experienced Councillor to help you. Everyone is busy these days so do as much as you can fit in. Every little bit helps!

You can become a Parish Councillor if you are a citizen of the UK, EU or the Commonwealth, are over the age of 18 and if you are an elector in, work in, live in or live within 3 miles of the area of the local council.

We currently have vacancies for Ewyas Harold, Dulas and Llancillo. For more information please contact Peter Jinman 07831 484065 or email clerk@ewyasharoldgpc.org.uk
